Directions to QWOCMAP

Welcome to QWOCMAP's home in the San Francisco Presidio!

Entrance
QWOCMAP is located inside the Tides Center at 1014 Torney Avenue.

There will be clearly labeled signs at all the building entrances with a telephone number that you can text for QWOCMAP to welcome you inside.

You can drive to 1014 Torney Avenue or take one of the public transportation options.

Public Transportation

From the East Bay and downtown San Francisco:

Take the FREE PresidiGo shuttle. [check the PresidiGo schedule]

To the QWOCMAP Office:

You can take the PresidiGo Downtown Route shuttle from stops at:

TransBay Terminal

Embarcadero BART (California & Drumm)

Van Ness Avenue & Union Street

Some weekday shuttles may require a Muni Visitor Passport or a special PresidiGo pass. 
On weekends, you do NOT need a pass. 

The shuttle drops you off across the street from the Tides Center. 

From the QWOCMAP Office:

On weekends and some holidays, the last PresidiGo shuttle leaves at 6:02pm from outside the Tides Center.

You can take other options including:

Golden Gate Transit #101, #130, and #150 from Richardson Ave & Francisco St to Civic Center BART

MUNI #45 Union/Stockton from Lyon St. & Greenwich St. to 4th St. & Market St. (a 3min walk to Powell St. BART)

From other San Francisco locations:

MUNI #43-Masonic directly serves our QWOCMAP office.

MUNI #28-19th Avenue and the Golden Gate Transit stop at Richardson Ave & Francisco St near the QWOCMAP office. 

We are also 0.4 miles from the Lombard Gate, where MUNI #30-Stockton, #45-Union/Stockton (from downtown San Francisco/Market Street) have nearby stops.

Driving
Proceed on Lombard Street through the Lombard Gate directly into the Presidio.

At the first stop sign, turn right at Letterman Drive.

At the next stop sign, turn right on Lincoln Boulevard.

Cost ($2.50/hour or $12.50/day)

Parking charges end at 6pm, and there are pay-stations in both the front and back parking lots where you can purchase a permit to display on your dashboard.

Front Parking Lot

After you turn right on Lincoln, make a right onto Torney Avenue.

Disabled Parking (NEED Disabled Placard)

Drive past the parking lot immediately to your right, and stay on Torney. There are 2 disabled parking spaces directly in front of the building, and 2 disabled parking spaces past the building on your left.

All disabled parking spaces need a disabled placard.

Front Parking Lot

Pull into the parking lot immediately to your right. Once you’ve purchased your parking permit, head toward the nearest building.

Front Building Entrance (Accessible)

From either parking location, when you face the building there are 2 entrances.

The 1012 lobby is to your right when you are facing the building. 

The 1014 entrance is to your left when you are facing the building. This entrance is closest to the QWOCMAP office.

If you are in a wheelchair, you might want to use the 1012 lobby entrance on the right because the path is moderately wider.

Back Parking Lot

After you turn right on Lincoln Boulevard, go to the second stop sign and turn right onto Girard Road.

At the next block, take a right onto Edie Road.

A short distance down Edie, there is a large parking lot to your right where you can park.

Once you've purchased your parking permit, head toward the L-shaped buildings.

Disabled Parking (NEED Disabled Placard)

As you enter the parking lot, there are 2 disabled parking spaces straight ahead. Directly in front of these spaces are stairs (11 steps with a railing) and a long ramp.

There are 4 more disabled parking spaces to the left of the parking lot entrance.

There may be regular parking closer to the corner stairs (9 steps with a railing). If you have a disabled placard, you can use it for these spaces.

All disabled parking spaces need a disabled placard.

Back Building Entrances

From the parking lot, the buildings form an L-shape and there are 2 useable entrances.

The corner stairs (9 steps with a railing) in the corner of the L-shaped buildings are closest to the QWOCMAP office. At the top of the stairs, Cafe RX is to the left.

There is a long ramp and stairs (11 steps with a railing) to the right of the corner stairs, directly in front of 2 disabled parking spaces. At the top, there is a long hallway to the left with purple couches and vending machines.
